The location - convenient. Nice restaurants close by.

The area is a bit sketchy but if you walk a block or two, it's a busy area with restaurants and you'll be ok.

Surreal, Oddball, Inspiring & Raw

We decided to stay in El Muniria purely to experience the spirit of William S. Burroughs and recapture the residue of his iconic stay in this obscure hotel where he wrote "Naked Lunch." The experience felt very surreal and inspiring. Something about the place gives that raw oddball magic one would want to experience staying in such a historic space without it being overly gentrified for profit, which it isn't at all. Let's just say it was a huge vibe.

Good

The literary connection but aside it’s cheap and convenient and perfunctory. My room was clean quiet and nice window view. Shower and toilet outside clean and working. Didn’t have any noise from downstairs bar at all unless it’s not open mid week. Really not far from main boulevard with all the shops.

Very Good

The hotel is in a great location, it's close to the beach, old town supermarket and, mall. The room has a nice view of the sea and is well ventilated thanks to two windows which keeps it cool at night. The shower has hot water. The lady at the reception is sweet.

The room wasn't super clean, there was hair on the floor, and the vanity table was a bit dusty.

Stayed here to explore Tangier before leaving on the ferry to Spain.

The hotel is close to the main city port and to the big commercial beach. It is a bit of a walk from the main railway station, but there is a bus that stops nearby,. The hotel obviously has some inbuilt cultural history which is interesting though I am pretty sure the bar downstairs is nothing like it was when frequented by beat poets. There was a pretty interesting crowd there though and I had a good time. If you walk a short distance either uphill or downhill there are shops and restaurants.

No AC, which I knew in advance and was fine with, but also no fan in the room or available. This is only a problem in the height of summer.

Good location to stay, but not to park.

Great location, friendly staff. Nice vieuws from top floor.

Finding a safe parking spot was very hard. The hotel is located in a bad area. We eventually moved the car to a parking garage a few km down the main road.

Great location but you’ll probably suffer with the heat.

It was really clean and inviting.

It’s really hot and no fan available. Only one window so no circulation. Not so comfortable.

Good value for money

It is a good value for money place, and the staff were very lovely, easy to communicate with.

The noise from the club downstairs is loud and disturbing sleep, even with ear plugs

Good for one night.

The staff were very lovely and helpful and the place itself is in a great location with regards to the waterfront, and the view from the roof is beautiful, and the room nice and clean.

If you want to sleep, bring your earplugs and eye mask. Unfortunately my room backed into a nightclub which starts at 10pm and finishes at 3am with the call to prayer mixed in or starting at 4am. Also my room had a window on the door, so every time someone came in and out of the building and turned on the light anytime during the night, you were woken up by it. If they could cover that window I think that would help a lot. Also you need to be careful walking at night in the area.

Low cost hotel with nice view

The views and the localisation. The staff was also very nice.

The noise from the bar. Very noisy people in the terrace at night. Not a toilet in the room.

Nice place, friendly staff, awesome view, dark streets to arrive at the hotel during the night.

The hotel was well located in general (in between the port and the Medina), there was a nightclub nearby and several places to eat. The staff was very nice and helped us with everything. The best of the place was the view, right close to our bedroom there was a lovely terrace with a great view of the marina.

It was very difficult to find the place at first, since it was in a small alley close to a small street, and it was too dark during the night. The bathroom was in the bedroom, but the wc was in a separated room. The window to the terrace didn´t seem really secure, but we didn´t fear anything would happen to our belongings.

This is a great basic hotel with all your needs, very inexpensive, but very low frills too.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great view from Roof Deck.
